    A Conversation with Judy Collins

I am honored to welcome Judy Collins to the Voice Rising Show on July 19th.

OMTimes Radio - Voice Rising with host Kara Johnstad
    July 19, 2021, 11 am PST | 2 pm EST | 7 pm GMT | 8 pm CEST

My heart opens wide to continue the conversation that began when I heard her voice for the first time. I was 8. Standing in my cornflower blue bedroom, my portable record player spinning her songs, as I looked onto cornfields. As a young singer, I found comfort in her clear, strong voice. She played guitar, piano and sang! Me too, I proclaimed with 12! The Judy Collins Songbook accompanied me to Berlin at the tender age of 20, along with 2suitcases and my guitar. The rest is history. For all the singer-songwriters in the house, stay tuned. Judy Collins and I will deep dive into voice, songwriting, and how our voices and music can play an essential role in social activism and changing our world for the better.
